Job Description
Ruma develops and deploys solutions for the low income communities and those who are financially excluded through various channels and platforms, including SMS, Android based mobile application, and web platform. To continuously build innovative products, we encourage top talents to join us as Software Engineer to contribute in product development, defining coding and technical requirements, and involve in solutions implementation.
Responsibility
you will do research, design, test, deploy, and maintain high performance, scalable, and secure software products including back-end, web front-end, API, and mobile applications which will be used by thousands micro-entrepreneurs in Ruma network;
As the part of agile team, you will attend scrums, do sprint planning/backlog reviews, communicate project/development status to internal and external teams in a timely fashion;
You will analyse and estimate product features defined by Product Manager/Product Owner;
Ensure software quality and maintainability by identifying and adopting software development best practices;
Learn and identify new opportunities in technology for new products or enhancements.
Requirement:
- Are fresh graduates from Computer science/Informatics, Information System or Computer Engineering from reputable university with minimum GPA 3.00, or one-year experience professional software engineer (experienced in back-end development would be advantage);
- Have brilliant logic and good analytical thinking, meticulous and discipline, enjoy with team working, has good time management (and of course good in handling stress), good adaptability and convenient with ambiguity and changes;
- Really, really, really love software engineering, development, programming, or coding. Experience in joining competition, certification, or training in IT would be advantage;
- Understand unit testing concept and any source code made by other person, and able to find solution from the internet;
- Familiar with UNIX environment and have basic knowledge in programming (at least one programming language), object oriented programming, design table (data modelling), query database, algorithms design and analysis, and concurrent programming (multithreading or multiprocessing)
- Able to use Python, Django, MySQL, HTML/CSS, Javascript, or Java;
- Experienced in web-development or Android application development (or other mobile apps), back-end optimization (data integrity, performance organization, or query tuning);
- Experienced in Scrum methodology
